I am using C2 so I don't now if it is different in C3 but when I've imported a model (.obj) into C2 I want to alter it in the vertex modeller but I can't find a way to do it (get it into the vertex modeller). I think I have tried everything. Can someone offer some advice? Thanks

Chris, You've probably done this but... Select the object and then go into the modeling room. Under the pull down menu "Edit" at the very bottom is the selection "convert to another modeler." A couple of options will show up - select "vertex" and you should be able to edit to your hearts content. One caution though: the World Space on some imported.obj objects may position the object (after conversion) a long ways away from the center of the modeling box. Check the properties if you don't see it. By a long ways I mean x=-600, y=800 and z=850. If that happens you have a couple of options. The first on is to use the pull down View menu and choose "Send working box to object..." The other option is to move the object to the position of the working box. Hope this helps... Mark

Or import wavefront.obj as vertex object (not facet meshes), then click the modelling room.

Thank you both. Mark - it did happen where the model was at some far out coordinates and I didn't know to look for that so again "thanks". Mateo - once I import as a "vertex obj", not facet meshes it seemed to work fine, again "thanks".
