I see perfectly your images in my monitor, but the resolution of screen that I use is 1600x1200. I remember a poll of Renderosity about resolutions used and the majority of people uses (I think) 1024*768 this is that your images don't fit in the majority of monitors. I tried different resolution for my images, now I use 740x516 and I think it's good for the majority of members. The compression that I use for images and thumbs is 60% enough for images for screen. My last image, with this compression is of 34k and the thumb 5kb. Bye HC
I would agree with most of the above 800X600 is about perfect for most people. I've gone bigger than that in the past but lately I've been posting much smaller. Like 640X480, making them rather worthless for someone to download and print. Must try the 740X516 that enax recommends.....the size of that looks quite good on my monitor.....and I'm set to 1280 X 1024
I am, therefore I create.......

I ask those with a better knowledge than mine....what is the preference for "Posting" a Photograph...I will try to explain what I mean...perhaps someone can help. If I have a "Landscape/Scene/Sunset/Vista"...I set the photo size to 1024x768 ....this looks kewl for Me...but...how does this look for You???....or...do You the viewer have to scroll across...huh???? What is the "Viewers" preferred size...huh...I am being serious, and have learnt a week back, that I should save the Images as a Jpeg...not a Gif...which is what I had done for a long time. I really do appreciate anyone's help. Cheers!
