It's been a long while since I've posted anything, so I thought I'd throw this out. It's a setting for an animation I'm working on, and while I won't be using the GI renderer for the animation, I popped this out. I just love that engine; it looks so great!
So, the fan is a model I built based on the fan that's blowing on me right now. It's pretty detailed, and is jointed up to oscillate and to rotate the fan blade (although when I'm using it in animation, I'll replace it with a slowly rotating disc with a blurred texture).
I actually started the fan as a 15 minute challenge, but it got much more complex and wound up taking about 15 hours, overall.... So much for the quickie challenge!
