Here she is at last! (See previous 'flyer' :-)) Over at DAZ my new pigeon/Dove model. Jam packed with Easy Pose gubbins (all hail to you, mighty Ajax for your wonderful utility!) to give realistic flying and perching poses. 7 photoreal texture sets for various species/feral birds. The bird has two versions : flying and folded (although the flying bird has a pretty passable wing fold dial)

Here are the 7 texture sets_ Wood pigeon/Collared Dove/White Dove and 4 feral pigeons.

And finally a cut down version of a rather amateur animation just to show what can be achieved even by a novice! (its 100kb so sorry if it slows this post down) (hope rendo will take animated gif)

Been longing for doves forever!! Yea to you! It's in my cart. The grey brown type-- don't know species--is just like the one in my back yard. Emily

Thanks everyone! Wait 'til you see the swan I'm working on at the moment! It's going to need some special jiggery-pokery for the webbed feetbut with the help of Bloodsongs experimental model based on Anton's tecniques, I do believe it can work! I'm eager to get experimenting on the neck but still a fair bit of modelling to go yet! Here's a couple of Rhino renders: you were the first to se it! Don't worry about the horizontal neck_ it hasn't swallowed a broom_ just makes mapping the neck and setting up the bones/EasyPose easier

Here's a close up of the head_ this is a mute swan but I hope to do morphs and textures for most of the others including the lovely Australian black swan.

Very nice swan!

GULP!! I now know that I'm going to go broke with you Nigel...hehehehe...;o). I ADORE swans (and animals of every kind). I have a distinct feeling that if there is an animal, you are the one to do it. Thank goodness you wouldn't run out of ideas anytime soon in that department...LOL. I have a few of your animals and I love every single one :o) Laurie

Elaine, I'm a comparative novice with morphs_ I find Rhino a bit wanting in this department_ however with Travellers excellent tutorials I've just begun to get in to using magnets to produce them _ so I'll have a look if the modelling/mapping phase goes smoothly and see whether a goose morph is on the cards! ( would have to make it a bonnet/basket and apron tho!) Nigel

Wowee!!! Nice work, and a swan in the works too? AWESOME! The mourning dove looks spectacular Nigel! I have a few that hang around my office window, and just love to hear them.
