sigh don't talk to me about shooting relatives....the temptation is too much....but I guess you mean cameras.... aw, in't she cute? She looks so much like her Mom..... he he he - keep these handy for when she's dating.... embarrass the hell outta her!!!! rofl... Critique? 2 and 3 are the 'classic' pose shots, obviously. 4 I would crop the top half, coz those flowers are attracting my attention too much and take the limelight away from her.... and 1? Well, I can't decide, but I do like the colour balance in that one the most. Technically of course, they're all good, which is what we've come to expect from you...... :D Don't see where the abstract is here, though? (",)

What a little princess! #4 is my favorite. Borrow a kitten.

Got to be #4 for me If its outside photos give them something to do, like a hosepipe to play with or get mum to pull faces and make them laugh. Take as many shots as possible, I found getting down on the ground, gets good shots with small children.
Eggiwegs! I would like... to smash them!

Nice, michelle. I like #1 and#2. Good way to get ANYONE to laugh - Ask them to grunt like a pig. It never fails to make people crack up laughing. mac

Cute as a button!!! I'm for 1,2, and 4. In fact take the crown and add some wings and you have the perfect fairy pic michelle. ( I thought you used to do those. ) Bsteph

If I must choose: 2&4 but all are very nice photos. Tips? it's easy take photos of loved ones. Be ready for the moment, don't create the moment. IMHO

Being an ex-photo lab employee, my biggest pet peeve is in color ballance. #1 is too red, #2 is slightly red, #3 is just a bit too cyan but real close, and #3 is a bit too red. #3 would be the best shot if you got closer to her face. The trees overpower the shot but make a good framing choice, just get closer. "axy" is right...get down on their level for proper perspective and bring stuff for the kid to play with. Ask the child to bring their favorite toy. Pets are a good idea, just be careful with the wardrobe...wouldn't want to try and pry a cat away from chiffon/lace. After saying all that...just relax and have fun!!
