How do I install new/additional fonts in photoshop? I tryed Photoshop help etc, but no luck.

You don't install fonts within Photoshop, you do it through the Operating System. It will vary depending on whether you are using a Mac or Win system. If Windows then just install the font via the Control Panel "Fonts" applet, if Mac, then ... ? Help, Mac users?

PC or MAC?
PC:
Method 1 - Start --> Control Panel --> Fonts,(in XP it makes it appear that you select a font, just "right-click" on the "fonts" icon in the menu and choose "Open") then click File --> Install New Fonts.
Method 2 - C:WINDOWS and drag font files on top of FONTS directory (Shift-Click on fonts if you are installing a few of them)
MAC:
Method 1 - Home --> Library --> Fonts and drag font files on it
PLEASE NOTE:
Photoshop MUST be closed when installing fonts or they will not appear in the font list. PS builds the font table when it is launched and any foints insatalled while open will not be added until next launch...
let me know if you have any trouble,
:)

SeanE, I've seen that problem before. Have you looked at this link? It might help. It's from Adobe's knowledgebase and also contains further links to related problems. They do note that PS from 6 onwards uses a different method of locating the fonts, though. Hope it helps.bonestructure posted Sat, 05 July 2003 at 2:35 PM
I use win 2k and have no problem at all with fonts.
