I am very new to Carrara 2.0 but have been useing Bryce 5 for a while and I want to know if you can creat primitives and objects in Carrara and import them into Bryce 5? And do the same with Bryce objects? I like Bryce for the terrain modeling but needed a better way to make complex objects. Any help will be most welcom. Thanks in advance :-)

Jimce3k, You can import objects you make in Carrara into Bryce (best as a wavefront obj). Most of the stuff you make in Bryce you won't be able to export however. If you export a terrain from Bryce's terrain editor as a dxf, or is it a dem?(one or the other). Anyrate you can import that into the 3dem app. You can then create a .jpg(or bmp or something) that will import into Carrara terrain editor. (You could also just copy the pict in Bryce's terrain editor to the clipboard but the resolution is real low (128x128.) if you do a google for 3dem you should find the 3dem application easily. - TJ

also: If you can get the object to export from Bryce you should be able to get it into Carrara one way or another.
