A nice guy just made a new plugin available for Carrara its free so snatch it up before he changes his mind. http://www3.telus.net/robbert/zekaric/ VERY nice plugin. A quick test that took like a few seconds I'd say. Brian

I'm not intending to charge for this plugin ever. Mainly because it's not too different from a sample plugin that came with the Carrara SDK. Plus I feel it's a little too basic a feature and that it should probably have had a counterpart in Carrara already.

Having said that, it is possible to get a similar result in Carrara without using the plugin. I just never figured out how and thought, what the hey, make a plugin. It's a good feature/function to start off with to get an understanding of plugin writing.

As to the code, It's not that much different from the stair command sample so I don't feel too much attachement to it. Anyway, I have kept some notes on gotchas I've run into. Currently there's not link for it on my web site but it's there. http://www3.telus.net/robbert/zekaric/devNotes/notes.html It might also help if you are going to start a plugin yourself just so you don't run into the same roadblocks that I've already smashed into. Just to note, I'm just starting off as well. :) A lot to learn so the notes aren't all that complete or extensive. Carrara SDK Yahoogroup is the place to be for plugin discussion. All the mysteries of the magic eight ball will be revealed there. :)
