before anyone will make a comment, good or bad, on one's renderings? I've been a relatively frequent visitor here for about a half-year, made a few posts, commented on a few images.... Posted my first two public renderings over the last few days and have gotten a respectable amount of views but not a single comment, good or bad. Really just wondering... e.d.

Sometimes it seems to be that you get comments, other times you don't :) Nice images, love the purple flatop, she looks good.

Nothing personal evilded777 , Your renders are pretty good but it should tell a story of some kind or you tell it in the header or below it. I am a bit confused is the woman with a sword flying or falling or jumping ? And who is she going to chop with her sword ? Plate 2 has more of a story in it but what does this have to do with plate 1 ? You need to draw people in tell them a bit more of the story or they just leave and dont say anything. Or maybe I am wrong and need more coffee.

Point taken tasquah; I know how they relate to each other only nebulously at this point myself. Thanks. e.d.

No need to worry about comments. Most of the time, you'll only get those of your friends. You'll have worked for days on a picture that'll get burried under 3 pages of other pictures in 2 hours flat (especially during week-ends). Your pictures are all right, go ahead. Just remember that YOU are you most acute critic. Always try to listen to the little voice in your head and you'll get it the right way. Just be sure you are happy with what you have done. Now, if you are looking for help on a project, then welcome to this forum : I have found so many good advices here ! Thanks to everyone. Compiler

Just keep posting, you'll probably get comments. There's no guarantee. They are pretty good renders-- the chains especially are effective and, even with ez- pose a chore to do. Usually the more you post and the more you comment on others the more comments you get. It's a crapshoot though, as Compiler says, your work can get buried in no mans land rather quickly. Emily

Because of the volume on the Poser Gallery, probably the best thing you could do to draw attention to your graphics is what you did this time....post on the forum and ask for feedback. The comments will probably be more useful to you too. Pays to advertise. :)

Also, a good way to get comments on your images is to comment on other Artist images :)
Visit the Public Chat room and get to know some of the other Poser Artists. Ask them to give you some honest helpful hints on your work!

Also keep in mind. That leaving the comments button open, does not mean that everyone will "like" your style of artwork, and that they may indeed, give you "helpful" pointers that You at times may feel are rather "ego-deflating"!. So be prepared to take the "praise" as well as the "helpful" when you open your image to evaluation by clicking on the Comments button! Have fun and "Good For You" that You are Posting Images :) ladynimue

I've only finished 4 pics enough to post here, but I've been fairly lucky with comments and views, I guess. One thing I've tried a couple of time is to re-crop my thumbnail images to emphasize different elements of the image - One I even tried just using a miniature of the whole pic as the thumb. A few words of exposition with each image seems to encourage participation by the viewers. And what day and time of week seems to have a big effect as well. Weekends there's tons more posts, but a lot more browsers, to. One last thing - I've also tried IM-ing the creators of some of the products and freebies when i use them, and often they show their appreciation for the courtesy by posting a remark as well. Kind of silly, I guess, but I really enjoy seeing the # of views and comments go up in my gallery. Motivating.

Thanks to all of you who took the time to respond and make some comments, they are all very appreciated. Guess I got spoiled over at Renderotica... my first post there garnered views and comments kinda quick ;-) I do need to be more active here if I'm looking for some input. sincerely... thanks. e.d.

The adult Poser sites seem to have an audience more ready to comment, though the volume of pictures is not as great as here. At T.O. most pictures get 5-10 comments within a day or two.
