I can attest to the Poser pro 11 caching texture during rendering process, whereas Poser Pro 13 reads the textures every time I render. I have Alienware Area 51 w/64 GB RAM and tested both Poser Pro 11 and 13 and Poser Pro 11 is by far faster than Poser Pro 13 during firefly rendering.Does 11 actually cache that? Nerd's statement was "It's always done that" indicating they got reloaded in previous versions, you just didn't notice because rendering took so long.

That would be shame, since texture in the RAM was a key functionality for Poser Pro 11... "speed Rendering" being the key phrase. Why it wasn't included in Poser 13, is something I don't understand. Well, that is $99 down the tube (until such times they decide to incorporate such a feature).I don't see Poser 13 being updated any time soon unless there is an absolute necessity to patch something that is broken. The techs are concentrating their efforts on Poser 14.

I am sold! Just to confirm that I should be able to read Poser 11 files into Poser 13 (given that I would copy all the necessary purchased contents into relevant Poser 13 libraries?

Based on the feedbacks received , it is clear that Poser and DAZ are unlikely to join forces to deliver products that are "program independent" (i.e. they prefer program dependency products more important... which affects their bottom $$$)! Oh well, it was good whilst it lasted (as was the case for V4).

I have vested too much in Poser program (characters, clothing, etc.... probably more than $20,000 since "Poser 4" days) to change to DAZ. Thanks for the advice though."If you want to use DAZ figures, DAZ studio is the native, and therefor better app for it."

Well.. should you develop clothing/accessories/skin textures for V4, just let me know! :c)) 10+ years on, and still prefer V4 to any other characters (new or old)!...She is an eye catching character + can be used directly in Poser!!! :c)))
I have pretty much purchased everything for V4 (both here and DAZ3D)! :c)))

ok... So I just want to get my poser 11 license updated (AGAIN! like every year). I have already created the Activation Request file (which is on a PC w/o internet access) and not to sure where to go from here!
Do I still need to re-install Poser Pro 11?
