What I find interesting is the fact that they are trying to sell us Amapi now, but just a few months we all had the chance to download Amapi 4.15 for free. I downloaded it and have used it, it's a useful little tool in the creation of 3D models, but why would we buy Amapi 6? There isn't a great deal of difference between 4.15 & 6, and niether can fill the shoes of a full fledged 3D program(like what Carrara was intended to be-(a cheap solution to 3D Studio Max). Which if the bugs and quirks were worked out-it would be just that.

It's possible that getting aggressive is the only way to make Eovia understand that we want our patch. I don't like complaining but I've been patient for a long time(since the day I bought Carrara)and we should be venting our frustrations on here, it's healthy and non-violent. Mabye just mabye Eovia will pay attention and realise that we are not buying Amapi just fill the void that Carrara is leaving. I realise that Eovia didn't screw us in the first place, Metacreations did! But they have to understand that we were left on the side of the road with a screwed up program. I wonder if Metacreations informed them when they bought Carrara that there were a whole bunch of angry customers that came along with the purchase of Carrara who were tricked into buying the program in the first place. "Damned little korrigans"!!!!I won't say retarded or troll again, I promise.

I see where your coming from, and yes I was being fairly insulting. But I bought Carrara for professional use, and this has become a nightmare. I have lost money and clients because of Carrara and all of the crap that's gone on with it. It's hard to explain to clients that I can't render their animations because the software doesn't want to run right. If I had unlimited money I'd go buy 3D Studio Max or Lightwave and be happy and you'd never hear me complain again. If Eovia would just make a clear statement about the situatuion of the patch(whether it's coming or not) I'd calm down, but instead they keep sending me emails about discounted prices on Amapi.I'm sure it's no easy task to get Carrara up to par,but when they bought Carrara they also bought all of the old customers along with it. And here we all are still waiting for apatch, let alone a clear honest statement about when and if it will exist. I didn't write it to offend you and I apologize, but I've lost a lot of sleep over this whole thing. We need to bitch, that's what this forum is here for if it's needed, mabye Eovia will listen and make an announcement, or even a patch.

Yeah, it might be talking to a shrink trying cure it's nightmare, or it could just be plain old retarded, with no hope of a cure. Carrara is a mongoloid, and Eovia is a schizophrenic compulsive liar who was given a key to a large city full of people smarter and more creative than it is.

I'll bet the people at Eovia are retarded little trolls who think we are all stupid. They don't give a damn about making a patch, well mabye a tire patch or something, but not a software patch, I doubt they know how. Are oyu reading this Eovia? i would have to say that the most useless feature about Carrara is program itself, if it were a person it would be locked up in an insane asylum in a little rubber room all by itself, so it couldn't hurt anyone else.

The patch will never be out, because Eovia doesn't care. Read some of the previous messages in here, and you'll see what I mean. I wouldn't hold my breath for the patch, but they'll sell you Amapi at a discount. I'm one the angry ones about the patch situation.

cristianr: it's good to hear from someone else that feels the same about Cararra. They just want to sell us Amapi and a new version of Carrara, they are clearly not giving us a new patch anytime soonn if ever. We got screwed by our pals Metafu#kations and here we are wishing for a fix that will never come. Eovia is full of crap, they lied to us, and now we have an orphan program with no new support.

Have we all just given up ona new patch from Eovia? Or am I the only one still waiting(hopelessly most likely)? It's just one big pain in the ass! It looks like Eovia could care less about the old Carrara users, and just wants to sell everyone a new version and make some money. If anyone out there from Eovia is reading this, don't take us for fools. You make it sound like the 1.01 patch is a big revelation to us, we've all had that patch for a year and Carrara is still a piece of crap with mental problems of it's own.

Where is our patch? Eovia really needs to make a clear announcment about it. Not a bunch of hype about Amapi! They need to let us know if they are even really working on a patch, so we can either get excited ot just forget about the whole thing and move on with our lives. i'm getting sick of the whole thing, it makes me want to puke on my keyboard. EOVIA if your out there listening to all of this, you need to step up to the plate and tell us what's up with the patch for Carrara, we are getting a little restless, not to mention alittle pissed off. Be real men and speak up on this or plan on losing future loyal users.
