I'd agree with what folks are saying here. Conforming for close fitting areas, especially tops, like armpits and such, dynamics can get kinda funky, but for flowing type garments I tend to prefer dynamic all the way.

Thread: animation timing ? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
IF you're wanting to change the overall frame range from 30 to 25, you should make the Source Frames 1 to 30 and the Destination Frames 1 to 25. That should do it.

You don't notice a change in the position of the keyframes in the Animation Palette? The animation will still be the same length but the keyframes should be closer together in the timeline.
That is odd that it isn't working for you, It always does for me... It is indeed puzzling..

Hit the "Prt Scr" button on the keyboard, (just to the left of "Scroll Lock") this copies a snapshot of whatever is on the screen to the clipboard, then just open your 2d graphic prog and paste to a new image and save.

Likewise, I see your arrows pointing to the areas but I see no blue lines there.

Thread: newbie question about making conforming Poser clothing | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - There is an option in Lightwave to "Create a part" in a model, by selecting polygons and giving it a name. However, when I did this and imported the model Poser still saw the whole thing as one model.
It will still be one object but when you apply the bones in Poser's setup room the various parts (if named correctly) will be grouped accordingly so the foot, toe will be properly deformed by the appropriate bone.
edit: Ah, looks like JoeHFG has it all laid out for ya. :)

Thread: Poser 7 SR2 versus Cloth Room | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I had a problem with P7 cloth not colliding with some objects it was supposed to, but after installing SR1 it worked as it should, I have not yet added the SR2.

Thread: Dynamic Hair and wind | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - if you were to turn them off and rotate that figure 180 degrees then the cloth would drape the same as above, and the hair would naturally drape to the position you require, and if you need fluctuation in the hair caused by a speedy decent, then by raising the figure quickly it would fluctuate, all those frames would then just have to be flipped in your editing program, so that instead of looking like an ascending figure, it looks like a descending figure.
That is a good suggestion, for that matter you could try raising the figure up high on the first frame and bring it close to the ground on the last, with the 4 basic elements that affect dynamics being (gravity, wind, collision and motion) the motion of the figure itself falling at a rapid rate should create the desired effect at least similarly as it would in real world setting.Should be worth a try.

Thread: How do you use and access the magnets in Poser 6? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
I can't see where using magnets has changed in any versions of Poser I'm familiar with.
Select the object you want to apply the magnet to.
Go to the object menu and click "Create Magnet"
The circular "Mag Zone" determines what portion of the object will be affected by the magnet. If the circle surrounds the entire object, the entire object will be deformed by the magnet. Use the scale and translate dials to make the zone cover only a part of the object. It acts as a 'falloff' zone. The center of the sphere will have the greatest concentration of the effect and will taper off toward the edges of the circle. If you want to deform the nose of a figure, for example, Attach the magnet to the head object, scale and translate the Mag Zone so the circle surrounds the nose of the figure.
The "Mag Base" will determine where the center of the force will come from. Like if you rotate a magnet, the position of the mag base will be the center of rotation.
The magnet itself is what deforms the object. If you want the magnet to deform more than just the object it is attached to, select the magnet, go to its properties panel and click "Add element to deform"

Thread: Why does clothes appear invisible when I select them from library? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
First I'd try JOELGLAINE's suggestion of rendering to see if they show up. Could be a transparency map issue.
..or If the obj file is not in the correct folder that the cr2 is referencing it to, can cause the item to be listed as "being there" but the geometry will not show up at all.

mercblue22 - the clothing should be either in a "Figures" library or a "Props" library. It sounds like you are trying to apply a MAT pose to clothing items that are actually not in the scene.
Are you saying that everything you installed is in a Pose library? - Are you sure you installed clothing items or just a set of textures meant to be applied to existing clothing items?
It's a bit difficult to get a grip on just what is going on there, but it sounds like you are not putting any geometry in the scene at all.
Do you have a link to the actual product you downloaded?

Quote - Damn, so what I have is worthless if its all MATs, right?
Unfortunately - sad but true. Unless you get the actual items the MATs are designed for, there's not much you can do with them ..

Thread: Self collision - Cloth | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Quote - thickness = collision offset maybe?
Thanks for the feedback. Actually I've been considering putting some stuff up in the marketplace here, and a particular item I'm working on has a dynamic cloth object in the package with a partial layer of cloth overtop an underlying layer. I just hate to put it up for sale when it's acting funky.
It's an ancient Egyptian style garment that has a sort of loincloth or skirt with a drape in front coming from the waist that hangs over the actual skirt.
Though I could do a version of this with one solid layer of cloth, it really wouldn't be as accurate.

Any 3d modeling program that can export to .obj. There are many to choose from at various price ranges. There are even some pretty good free ones out there. Wings 3D comes to mind as a pretty capable freeware modeler.

Quote - I currently use C4D but once ya get any main 3D app you can run any of them.
That's essentially true. The underlying principles of 3D modeling are the same, regardless of what software you ultimately choose to use. Learning these basic principles is the main thing. (i.e. How a 3D model is constructed) - Applying those same principles in any capable modeling program is merely a matter of learning the user interface for that particular program.
