In the "Simulation Settings" panel under "Additional Cloth Collision Options", check the tic box that says "Object polygon against cloth polygon". See if that helps..

Stewer makes good sense. Keep in mind that DVD "IS" a compressed format.
ALWAYS render to an uncompressed format. Use compression ONLY for the final..

That's a good observation. I would certainly recommend keeping .avi's uncompressed until the absolute final. and even then keep an uncompressed version on hand.
Still, (except for maybe very short clips), it's best to render to individual frames to start off with. If something unexpected should happen somewhere in the middle of the rendering process, you still have the rendered frames up to the point of the problem, so you don't lose everything and have to re-render right from the start all over again ;)

You can achieve the same results rendering your frames to .PNG or .TGA that has an alpha channel and then compiling the frames using the alpha as a mask. Or as mrsparky suggested, import the video as a background directly into Poser.
Not necessary to go green ;>

Thread: Gallery post size etiquette | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Personally, I tend to agree with geoegress on this one.
I think consideration for the general viewing/downloading public is the main thing to keep in mind. Most do enjoy viewing images that fill their screen without excessive scrolling and of course there will be some who have huge monitors while others do not.
Also, yes it's true, there are some still using dialup modems. (more than one may think actually) so loading time is another consideration.
I think while some are indeed moving to larger monitors, I believe the "MAJORITY" of present day computer users still have traditional 19" - 22" range screens, not to mention a lot of people on laptops.
For gallery uploads, I tend to upload at 1024 because I think it falls in a range that is better suited to the average user.
Sure if I render something for a specific purpose that requires a higher resolution, I render to suit the need, but for standard web use, I prefer to consider what the majority of viewers would most likely be viewing in.

I guess that doesn't count discount coupons like the $5 thing they put up recently, either...
Heh - well, I guess I am also more of a builder than a buyer (though I admit, the $5 thingys do tend to prod me along from time to time) aside from Poser (3) itself, my very first Poser related purchace was Mimic Pro.

In P7, for some reason, the clothing items are all labeled as "Props" and are in the Props libraries. Though they still behave as conforming figures and can be saved as figures and as part of "Group" figures..

Thread: November Poser Forum Challenge - Portraits! | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
Ah! A Challenge! Great! I do hope to get something in on this. - Granted, I haven't been very available around here this past month, being plagued with a slew of outer world issues of late my online time has been frustratingly limited to say the least. But things seem to be leveling off and hope to be back in the swing soon.
Good luck to all who enter!

Thread: How to save figure postion in P7? | Forum: Poser - OFFICIAL
When you go to save the pose, a window should come up asking you "Select additional information you want to save" the tic box options will be "Morph Channels" and Body transformations"
Checking "Body transformations" will save the current position of the figure in the saved Pose. "Morph channels" will save, well, morph channels, (body morphs, facial expressions etc)
