max is windows only, so don't bother with the mac option for using max. mac with intel isn't a big change actually, for apple. the os that osx is based on had coding for all architectures, they knew they would be switching so they left the coding in place. current osx will run on intel box, if it has a bios that macos will recognise. ( open firmware only )

since mac osx is based on a linux distro, your comment doesn't make any sence. mac osx is linux. just a corrupted version, removing the power of linux.

" Small correction. MacOS is based on BSD not Linux." ahh, the lesser hardware support open source os. bsd has worse hardware support than linux. ( and the worst installer ) makes perfect sence, use the kernel with least hardware support to run your overpriced proprietary hardware.

seems to have been caused by mods / admins moving a thread. just happened again, and it was when a mod moved a thread into here, and posted that she moved it. thread was originally in the html forum

Teyon is right. use the tool that is the most comfortable for your work habits. all 3 you name will do the job as well as any other. if you are going to be using one to render the scenes, it would probably be c4d, so it may be easier in the long run to make to building model in it. but that would be the only reason to recommend one over any other.

point to point is a nit pick detail for a lot of models. for models based on standard primative shapes ( square house etc. ) the point to point can give you extremely low poly models. here's a point to point modeller, for linux: http://wolfpack.twu.net/Vertex/index.html

The only one I've seen personally is for max. and it is a basic: use image as background, draw splines along lines for perimiter draw path spline loft. cut out windows and doors texture.

Runtime Revolution's programming tool is the only prize I would be interested in*, and I have it already, it came with one of my boxed linux versions. ( Runtime Revolution itself, now called Studio ) *I actually don't use it, as the interface doesn't work for me.

I'll debate with myself about it. maybe enter, just for the challenge of it. but like I said. the prizes don't interest me. so I don't really care about the popularity contest aspect. ( we all know I'm not the most popular person around. ;) nor the most disliked. :) )
