Thread: Just please comment people? | Forum: Carrara
Working hard on It AzChip, this my first 3D character and I am still a newbee at Carrara with no prior 3D modeling experience. I would love to implement your comments to the character, but I am having a touch time just to get to the point I am now mind you that you have the same Ideas in mind as I do. And yes for the right leg, hydrolic pumps are what I have in mind, applying it to the figure so it may link as a hole is another mountain for me to climb. It's been rough so far AzChip, and as far as the wings go If you look closely they are 3 separate levels (Level 1:Bones with missiles, Level 2:Jet like with missiles, Level 3:Mechanical with missiles and razor sharp edges for some serious demolishing power. I hope i do not sound crazy, I figured that my first character will be as confusing and as though for me to create as possible. Which means once It's complete anything else should be a peace of cake for me. Thanks for the comments AzChip love and Peace

Hey folks thanks for commenting, and Stacey I'm the one that should apologyze to everyone about my first sentence in the original message of some people just don't care in this forum I'M SORRY FOLKS. I was wearing my beer goggles coming from a party last night when I posted the message. Servo the reason I'm not posting multiple and textured views of the character, is because it is not complete i have some more work to do on it. The concept of the character is a futuristic dragon part living tissue part mechaniical, If you look closely at the wings they are equiped with missiles. Thanks again for taking the time to comment Love and Peace

This forum is the best thing that could have happened to me headgamer. I have learned so much since I became a member, and just like clint I'm learning something new everyday. My art work is not eye capturing but, it's all part of setting your goals (to get better at where your heart belongs) 3D animation and graphics design. Dam!!! it feels good just to write those words and be part of this forum. I'll be the first to admit "I AM ADDICTTED TO RENDEROSITY"!!, I'm here looking for something new "LIKE WHITE ON RICE" and it feels great. With that in mind i would like to take this time to say "HAIL TO CLINT"!! the forum moderator and Hail to renderosity. Yes!! Yes!! it's sad and true even us big guys break down in tears. In plane english I Love this place and I love you guys.

The vertex modeler is pretty good it gives me more control when it comes to getting exactly what I want output wise. Although the though part is that it is time consuming, it's like carving a figure out of air!!. But like the saying goes practice makes perfect, they are many ways I probably could of done this in the vertex modeler then conecting the dots. theres only 3 i am comfortable with, and the technique i'm using to flesh out this model are (polyline, add vertex, and extrude) and I tell you what the extrude has been of great help. Anyway I have some time at hand this week, so am keeping my fingers cross that the dragon shall be done by the end of the week or earlier. I am getting married on june 25th (2 Weeks!!), needless to say things tend to get a bit nutty within that time frame. Later folks.
Thread: Problem getting a poser 4 .obj file to import to carrara correctly... | Forum: Carrara
Alright Cynical nature, give this a try. when exporting from P4, the first pop up menu appears (Export Range) leave the dafault and click ok. Second pop up screen (Hiarchy), leave the default and click ok. Now the last pop up after you click save check box 1,3,4,5 starting from the top then click ok. Now when importing into Carrara leave the default import menu pop up as Is, now If you wish to be able to select each body as you where able to in P4 select vertex primitive then select create a single polimesh, and thge last option select create one object per group. to do an figure as a hole select the last option and slect creat only one object.

Thread: grainy light problem | Forum: Carrara
Hey there Daf I'm still new at Carrara, But I think I have a answer to your question. You may continue rendering with Ray Tracer, all you have to do Is select that light source In your scene with the properties tray (Spot light, Bulb light) What ever that source may me, then click on effects In that tray. One of the option should let you fix that grainy effect on your output.

All the problems I've had I was able to work around them, except for the 3D boolean union of 2 objects in the modeling room. Rendering seems to fail 80% of the time, unless I'm joining the 2 obejcts improperply? Besides that It his a pretty darn good program as I stated before It has some great potential (very user friendly) as matter of fact I do recommended to first timers to the 3D world who's learning on there one and the pricing Is pretty good for what this puppy can do. As Dwayne Edward and Twon Mary-Weather use to say this deserves a "2 SNAPS UP and A TWIST", and If all the bugs were cleared I give Carrara 5 on 5 in 5 star rating. Love, Peace, and Chicken Grease to all!!
Thread: Converting from Spline Modeller to Vertex Modeller | Forum: Carrara
I see nothing wrong with doing so Nemesis, If the end product Is exactly what you want it to be them by all means subdivide. Heck multires subdivide if you have to just make sure to always save different versions of your image.

Thread: My inside scoop on Carrara AHH!!!(Say It ain't so Captain) | Forum: Carrara
Sorry about that Spanfarkle, I am still new to this forum, I felt we were like family here, did not know we had a code of ethics on names. Heck I got nothing to hide and nothing to loose, My real name is Serge, my nickname Is bigserge. If I affended you by doing so I apologize. Well I guest this marks the end of the bitch session, I see you guys have releaved a bit of stress by venting of, that's always a plus. Anyway we shall continue head strong with this Carrara/RDS forum party, post our Images and hopefully someone from the big "head huncho's" out there will realize that some of us just will not give up on our investment, and maybe just maybe crank it up a up a notch or 2 to continue some further support for Carrara sometime soon. Love, Peace, and Chiken Grease!!

Yes you are correct, but the press realease dated 5/5/2000 stated Adobe purchased Canoma and Liscenced Carrara (what does that mean??) I have no freaking clue except that I am getting pretty pissed off and anoid with all the bugs the Darn thing has, after spending $350 on something, one would definately be (That's more then a Sony PS2!), and as of have no clue If you've invested in a piece crap or something with tremendous future potential.
