On the other hand, by making the textures we do buy more useful, Poser 5 might increase the market for textures that are extra-flexible. Here is what I would like to see in textures: I am currently adapting clothing to Poser 5 figures. When starting from an existing textured cloth, it is painful to cut out the "non-stretchy" parts [such as buttons], from the background material, patch up the background, then re-position the buttons where they belong. I would like to see textures provided in THREE SEPARATE LAYERS: * a basic re-usable background (such as satin), which will simply be laid over the texture-map of the new cloth - to minimize stretching; * "rigid" parts, which will be re-positioned by hand in Photoshop; * "stretchy" parts, which are supposed to fit body parts, and stretching is okay. For example, the semi-see-through portions of an outfit really need to be in the right place ;-) I'm working on a software utility that will help with the "stretching". It will be a while before it is anything I would inflict on anyone else, but I'd love to hear from anyone who is adapting clothes (or clothing textures) for Poser5... -- "Toolmaker" Steve S.
