Yes - you're right. IF the casual copier knows where to look. MANY don't. It's stopping them. Or won't you even concede that the copy protection will stop anyone? CL has the right to do what they want to do. YOU have the right to buy or Not to buy. It's ONLY an inconvenience for US. There are far more pressing issues in the world than this (rather stupid) one.
