Why should they be specifically for one kind of posts or another? They will find their own equilibrium and flow.

Two threads, both for whatever? I am afraid that would result in a complete mess. At that point having just one thread would probably be better
No, two threads that settle themselves naturally. Right now they're the same, but eventually someone will post a question in one thread, someone may post an image or ask a different kind of question. Let the threads just settle.

The threads will settle themselves, they always have. And do you know just how many casual conversation threads there were on HW? Last time I looked, there were many. How many threads with questions? Many. How many threads where they focus on posting images? Many. Give it time.

I really don't get it.
These kind of things do settle themselves naturally? I think that when you leave things to themselves they go towards enthropy, not to something well-organized.
I've seen that happening also with whatsapp groups (and now I have been happily not using that app for years).
When whoever will post whatever, wherever, then it will be difficult to follow, remember and find posts; the threads will become an annoying place to be.
