I have a NAS as well, which holds among other things my complete collection of assets (zips, progs, install folders, bitmaps, photoshop stuff and other HDRI's).
From time to time, everything is synched using a batch file and Robocopy to an external hard drive, which is connected (electricity and USB) only during the synch process)

Same goes for my Poser projects and all runtimes: using a second external hard drive.

I've been using this script for at least 25 years and it never failed because it only relies on the shell that exists since... Dos 1.0 . No installation needed.
For what I know, at the time Robocopy was on NT Reskit (at the time of Windows NT3.5 or 4.0). But the last time I downloaded was from sourceforge.
If someone needs this tool, I can share, as long as the author's name remain in the batch file.
