Digging though my archives, found PiChi--a version of the Poser 4 girl with a bunch of morphs and UV mapping for Posette. That's not exactly a huge step up in terms of quality, but that does give more options for textures. I found one that's really cute on her. Poser has nothing for the older kids, so I refit some of Penny's things.

I used my own shaders for the girl and hair. I'm slowly figuring out how to make a decent dynamic hair shader with Cycles. 

She's cute. I have several versions of dynamic hair shaders in the freebies you can use as a starting place for your shaders if you want. I also recommend making the tip and root widths thinner to avoid wiry hair. I use 0.1 and 0.2, respectively. Then I use more strands, usually 600 to 800. (I use inches if that changes those values. I don't remember if it does)
