Torquinox asked an important question that touches on what Renderosiy actually is. Here in the US, I've long subscribed to the Holmes/Brandies marketplace of ideas. Everyone gets to toss his/her idea into the marketplace where everyone else - presumably using critical thinking - critiques the contribution. Through that process, the best ideas rise to the surface and become adopted. While this was based on the US F1st Amendment, that amendment isn't absolute (as some think these days). It is constrained by time-place-manner restrictions.
Granted, Holmes/Brandies dissented in 1932, but their later became commonly accepted in the US. Back then, their dissent couldn't have contemplated today's social media disinformation, malinformation, the idiots that simply spread misinformation, or the global nature of today's online community (which I view as a positive). Yet the question remains. Is, in today's world, Renderosiy a marketplace of ideas in which its members critically evaluate all contributions, allowing the best to rise to the surface? Those to regularly post to the forums seem to think so. But, as Torquinox impliedly asks, does it censure (suppress) content?
I don't intend to disrupt this conversation, this is merely my contribution to the marketplace of ideas, as see it.
