Since  this month's (May 2026) four mini challenges are (were - I didn't remember this topic until the very last day) on the theme of Shadows And Light I thought it would be a good idea to revive this topic to add any new advice from the last ten years. The 3Dcheapskate* occasionally posts sensible stuff. Usually by accident. And it usually uses Poser 11, with units set to inches. Except when it's using Poser 6 or PP2014, or when its units are set to PNU or something else.
