Sorry to hear this! It's very nice of you to give everyone a heads up about it.

I do find it a shame that this is ending. I'm not sure if you're interested in exploring other options, but if you are, I have some possible ideas below?

Thanks for the response Amanda. Not having a way to advertise my store on other market places, I get no traffic to the MeshWorks3d website. No traffic, no sales, no money to pay for hosting. Even 3-4 sales a year would have covered expenses. I put a lot of work into my products, especially the newer ones, which are all at reasonable prices. I don't do social media, so an advertising method is not there either, and probably a mistake on my part. Just like keeping my privacy. As to your suggestions;

1. I have lots of Freebies out there, including here, but since no one views the readMe file included with every item, very few even know about the MeshWorks store website address. Do you remember when I had the Free3dContent webpage up? It went away just like other Freebie hosting sites like Content Paradise, RuntimeDNA, ShareCG, just to name a few.

2. I have been completely obstinate about giving up upto half of my already low price to greedy MarketPlaces. Especially true when there is very little the outfit actually does in return for that 'privilege'. I had all my products on Content Paradise because it was a fair 70/30 split, and they even highlighted a few of my popular items and included them in the newsletter. That's gone too. The big stores stay open because of the revenue they pull in from the actual content creators. Hindsight 20/20, I guess.

There's also the issue of product compatibility. I despise when 3d program vendors make their import/export propitiatory and not open format like it once was, and created this awesome 3d community. For that reason, I refuse to use any DS4+ program, Thus, impossible to meet QA requirements. Since all my products are in a universal format (cr2, pp2, pz2, obj), they are still usable with any flavor 3d app available (currently, but that will eventually change too). [/soapbox]

3. Free website hosting in never free. in those places, YOU are the product. The MeshWorks website is all hand crafted in html to have it look and work the way I like. In my experience, cookie-cutter webbuilder sites don't last very long. On top of that, web builders are not very script friendly for use of paypal buttons. You still need a CC processor to  handle payments, which is also costly.

Anyway, thanks. Just grumpy in my old age and tired of dealing with it.

Hi there! Sorry to reply late, I've been just really busy at work! Sorry to hear about all these hurdles, I have just one last potential suggestion - I know you were shying away from Marketplaces because of the profit split and product compatibility but there is one site, 3D Shards that is a 80/20 split if you sell just with them and a 60/40 split if you sell in multiple places. They have mostly Daz items on there but they do sell other things including scripts, some blender stuff, artwork so I think other items are open. They are very friendly so you could just reach out to them if you have questions/are interested. They also are very good to their vendors and customers.

Not sure if that helps at all but might be an option for you?
