Hello fellow Poser users.

I saw one of my older threads popping up again, so I decided to give you my opinion on recent developments. I started this thread, because I was about to make some decisions concerning me using both Windows 10 and Poser, or find new ways to work in 3D with a new OS as my platform.

Since that time the end of Life for Windows 10 had happened and a new version of Poser was released. A more recent development is that Microsoft is facing serious backlash with Win 11 for several reasons. I won't bother you with details you might already know, but many Europeans decide to put an end to their dependency on Microsoft Products for security reasons. MS close relationship to the current government is concerning if you take Trump's hostile attitude towards Europe into account. Worldwide people are refusing to use Windows 11 and start searching for alternatives. Apple is getting it's share, but Linux seems to have the right deck of cards at hand to attract a growing number of people. Linux runs on older Hardware, it's trustworthy and reliable, it provides a decent package of software for the average user for tasks like browsing the web, office work, email traffic, gaming and more. AI is a thing on Linux as well, but it is optional, as it should be in Windows as well. So, it seems the Linux user base is growing substantial this year.

Bondware has made a decision last year to drop the support for the Apple ecosystem, running exclusively on Windows. Given the current situation with Windows 11 it would be a bold but brave move to consider a Linux Version of Poser. It would put Poser in a unique position, giving it an hugh advantage to its competitor Daz Studio.

The time is right, Bondware!
