Without the fortune-teller lines it will never look real.  That is one area that will always stand out as being off.  Just look at your own hand and let it relax and watch the folds.

Sure, but do they need to be present in the wires, or would displacement maps be sufficient? I'm tending towards the former, to be honest, but I'm also a teensy but worried about overdoing things.
