"Picnic by the tree"
Amity and her friends decided to make a huge picnic near a wonderful tree, not far from the town. That tree is special by his huge size, but also because it is not in his usual environment. Another strange doing in town and around. But it made its way in this new place, as much as everyone.
Yesterday again, Amity was talking about the picnic with Sadie, who confirmed the lunch. After that, a hiking afternoon was expected, like Amity never explored around the town since her coming. She was very excited at that idea, specially like Sadie and the Pigsten brothers are those who know the best the surroundings.
Amity wishes to visit the hills which are on that side of the town like they are the closest and the highest around. She has no intention to make a long journey so far, even if it is tempting to explore like the others did before. It is just her pixie's roots which are waking up those last times and pushing her that way.
Yet, now she is at the meeting point, later than expected to install the picnic, Amity begins to wonder if she did not understand badly the agreement, like nobody is in view. And, if she understood correctly, she has no idea why her friends are making such a joke on her. So much pain to make good food and to bring it until here for nothing!
But Amity forgot what day it is: her birthday. Her friends have not forgotten and they are well decided to make her a huge surprise to celebrate the occasion.
And the hike? It will be a gift of course, but to do another day!
