shvrdavid in this most excellent explanation is something I have already during the end of the Eighties: my employer at the time was targetting a big company in the GIS domain (Graphical Information System, domain related to the management of the roads). At the time, ESRI's position was the same: no to the Apple market as developper tools, simply because it was a too small market. It's definitely looks like a constant choice I suppose: never ever look like Windows.
