That will save you money. And that's not a bad card. The 40 series wasn't even out when I last updated. I went with the 2060 because it was the one that had the best VRAM in my price range.  I knew it would be slower, but I tend to render crowd scenes and needed more memory for that. I still max out sometimes, but not as bad as I would if I had chosen speed over memory.
