What do you mean by this? There is commenting (though some people do turn it off) and they've even added the ability to make multiple comments on someone else's work.

I'm a gallery mod and would love to see more of these posted in the galleries. I'd also love to hear ways to possibly improve the galleries so I can pass them up to be considered.

What I was thinking to is something with more than those simple "Gorgeous" + "Thank you"

I have the feeling that sometimes it could lead to more interactions. For example by allowing a separate thread, such as with Discord, and it could use part of the forum mechanism. I'm not casting aspersions because, as a developer, I know how difficult this can be in some cases, just my two cents 

Oh and I admit that I'm addicted to smileys as I find them be part of the communication, replacing facial expressions and hand positions used in everyday situations
