if not for people like Len and me.. and many others.... you all could possible be speaking anything from Roman, or Germanic by the Vikings, or Normans, or French, and Dutch. Vietnamese, or even Germany that was the most possible outcome... considering that they occupied the island of Guernsey from 30 June 1940 to 9 May 1945....they only needed to get a foot hold...but it never did happen....what you need to remember is that there are men and women from around the world, that step up on a daily basis to protect what the gen pop take for granted.....
