Gill - I am planning at trip to Wales, Scotland, Ireland in a few years with my daughter.  When the ancestors call you just have to go check it out, lol...

I have Welsh and Irish ancestry, along with Danish (my grandfather was supposedly a Danish Count!!)  If you do come over, you'll love the scenery of all of those places, and if you head up to Scotland, be sure to check out the Lake District as well
