Thanks for the enquiries about my current state....I've been able to do a short walk down to the village field and back each day this week,albeit very slowly, and am starting to be able to use my right hand for non strenuous things.  At least I can type properly now, but can't get dressed fully hahaa.  Colours from my fingers up to just past my elbow range from purple to green/yellow to deep aubergine so it looks a bit weird, although I am now starting to see the bones in the back of my hand which had completely disappeared under the swelling.    Funny that only a couple of weeks ago, I said to an old friend that I could trip over a speck of dust!!
