In my case, I found quite interesting information about light and its mechanisms in a PDF shared by Piersyf on ShareCG, at least for those like me without specific knowledge when it comes to photography and lighting.

Actually, Piersyf has 4 items shared, so you will find the second edition, 5 years old, quite easily.
Quite a lot of theory, but also enough examples.
