We have quite a few residents along the canals where we walk our dogs.  They're fine most of the time but can get a bit hissy, but I've always got something in my pockets to distract them with.  Worst time is when they've got young cygnets with them.  Can't blame them for protecting their young.  We've always taught our dogs to respect them and other wildlife on their walks.  Bella still sees squizzas as fair game though hahaaaaaaaaaaa.
