@ odf soft decorated groups are working better for poke through but they are sometime deforming a little strange. In general, I also have seen better results with quad than triangles. In the image below you can see what I mean it is your Short with soft decorated group added for the trim.

That looks similar to what I see in MD. If I can't fix it, I will simply claim that Svetlanka is a very pragmatic person at heart and does not see why she should spend her hard-earned money on high-end gym attire when she can get almost properly sewn items in the same style from greasy back-alley peddlers like me.
