From WIRS#12 (WIP): Tim's neighbour Ashlee wanted some advice. Her friend Danni's cousin Lynne has 'Gone Dark' at a 'Meditation Retreat'...

"No. If anything, Lynne was getting disillusioned. Said they were, 'Totally Creeping Me Out'."

"Anything particular, Danni, or just poor food and bad hours ?"

"Oh, those, too, but they had this crazy belief about an approaching 'Singularity'." 

"Oh ? Sorta '2012' stuff ? 'End of the World is Nigh' ? Apocalypse Pending ?" I offered.

"Sorta. When the 'Stars were Right' or something, their mandala maze would open, they'd triumphantly process to a 'New Eden'." She shrugged. "Supposed to be at the turn of the year, midnight of the Solstice. Didn't happen..."

I felt my nape hair crawl. There was 'Weird', and there was 'WIRS Weird'....
