Subject: Outdoor lighting for SuperFly

RAGraphicDesign ( ) posted Tue, 14 December 2021 at 11:06 AM · edited Thu, 28 March 2024 at 6:59 AM

Hi everyone,
I'm looking for some outdoor lights - to use in a naturalistic scene with a figure - but wanting to render in SuperFly I can't use the package I own "SunLight by vincebagna" because it has strange effects on human skin. I work with Poser 11Pro.

Thanks for any information!

Use this shader on your Background in the Material room. Plug any HDR image into the image node.

No need for extra lights. Render with Superfly, make sure you have enough bounces and samples.

You could consider using an environmental HDR for natural lighting in Superfly.

My go-to for outdoor lighting is ezdome. Don't remember where it's hosted these days.

Cobra Blade is hosting them now-a-days at Snarly Gribbly's Scripts.

EZDome is my go-to for using HDRi images as well.

Thanks to everyone for the advice. I use a mac: I'll do some tests with Snarlygribbly's one and anyway I'll keep asking here :)

Thanks. I hoped that someone else would have it, if I couldn't find it. And I see he's working on an update for the Poser 12 version. But RAGraphicDesign needs the Poser 11 version.

Use 360 HDRI to get natural realistic illumination and backgrounds.

I am certainly no Poser expert but then I have found that you do not have to be to use EZDome to get some great results.

Just the dome with an EZlight added.  This is using EZDome 1.7 in Poser 12 but I used EZDome in Poser 11 for a quite some time and found it to give great results and you can download that and via the link given earlier.

I use Poser 13 on Windows 11 - For Scene set up I use a Geekcom A5 -  Ryzen 9 5900HX, with 64 gig ram and 3 TB  storage, mini PC with final rendering done on normal sized desktop using an AMD Ryzen Threadipper 1950X CPU, Corsair Hydro H100i CPU cooler, 3XS EVGA GTX 1080i SC with 11g Ram, 4 X 16gig Corsair DDR4 Ram and a Corsair RM 100 PSU .   The desktop is in a remote location with rendering done via Queue Manager which gives me a clearer desktop and quieter computer room.
