I think once the rendering engine is in the customers hands, the rendering will be much improved as tips and hints are shared. The same thing happened with iray and luxrender, so this is no different. However, until all the questions are answers and the feature set more clearer, I would advise against preordering so that the features are properly fleshed out. There's no incentive if they already have your money. Make sure all your questions are answered before committing, I think everyone can agree to that.
