I always liked Mike Rowe. He makes a lot of sense and is usually pretty comical. I appreciate his logic.
"We're lending money we don't have to kids who have no hope in ever paying it back, to train them for jobs that don't exist" - he hit the nail right on the head there. That's the American college system in a nutshell.
One thing they didn't expand on, and kind of got wrong tho. It's not just $1-trillion in student loans. It's $1-trillion in defaulted student loans. Meaning they aren't being paid back and likely never will. Because the students that took those loans simply can't afford to pay them back. The total amount of student loans is much higher.
