Really what I want to know is whether DS is supposed to be able to open OBZ files when they’re referenced from a CR2 as OBJ files, as Poser does.
And if not,why not? After all, even back in DS3 the "File > Import" option includes “Wavefront Object (.obj; .obz)” - so DS clearly understands the OBZ format.
When a CR2 references an external geometry OBJ Poser will look for an OBZ if it doesn't find the OBJ.
But DAZ Studio just asks the user to locate the missing file, and only allows “OBJFile (.obj)”* to be selected.
The 3Dcheapskate (also available in DAZ and HiveWire3D flavours) occasionally posts sensible stuff. Usually by accident.
And it usually uses Poser 11, with units set to inches. Except when it's using Poser 6 or PP2014, or when its units are set to PNU.
