I don't know about turn off, but you can always make it invisable; alpha channel.

Genesis and anything run through autofit has protected topoligy, and even after you turn it off, modeling in the assembly room wont work on it.

The problem I am running in to now is multiple carrara content folders. It's as bad as studios content folders used to be. There is my presets, carrara's "my presets" in the DAZ3D folder with studio, then each install of carrara has their own presets folder; C8.1, C8.5beta, and C8.5pro. And the most troublesome of the 3 is C8.5pro. If there was any way to do it I'd combine the 5 "my presets" to one folder. But you can't do that because carrara's content browser wont work that way.

I'm still sorting through all the free stuff that comes with C8.5, but it seems many of the shaders for genesis that came with carrara didn't come with textures. What good is a carrara genesis skin shader with no textures?

In fact I have spent a week getting caught up on content. I finally have all my optitex clothes back in place and am getting caught up on genesis freebies. I've spent the last couple of days running optitex dynaimc clothing aniamtions through Studio. And yes, it has been confirmed DAZ changed the way optitex clothing works from DS3 to studio 4 so it doesn't work as well. The cloth has surface fidelity issues. This expains the todo with Optitex and why you see little being done with it now.

Now if I ran DAZ I'd run it all wrong. It would be all about developmental partners, PAs, and customers. Not $ and profit. But that's just me.
