In any case, my complaint isn't that I can't use Genesis in Poser.  It's that there's nothing to replace V4, which is outdated now.

I don't think the figure you are looking for exists.  Poser and DS are too different now. 

Supporting Dawn DS and Dawn Poser will be easier than supporting Genesis and V4, because she's the same figure, rather than two different figures.  And maybe she'll be so popular she'll inspire vendors who only use one platform now to learn the other. Maybe even lead to the development of some kind of conversion utilities.

But other than that, no, I don't think you've missed anything.
