A few weeks ago we visited the Groninger Museum, really in the North of the Netherlands, one of the exhibitions (Urban Gothic) was the work by Marc Bijl.

For me very intriguing but still strange work: Marc Bijl is a Dutch artist who lives and works in Berlin. His works are based upon social issues and their use of symbols and rules. This can result in interventions in the public space, sculptures or installations that undermine or underline this perception of the world.

In one of the exhibition halls there was work based on the “pentagon” a unique mathematical figure, the root to the famous golden ratio, Pythagoras, religious symbol and a lot more!!

In some of the pentagons he used bits and pieces of mirrors!!

In the photo you see a lot of reflections, on the left hand, you can discover partly my wife Déanne with a handbag and the legs are the mirror image of my legs (LOL)

Hope you like this upload as a different angle to all your wonderful reflection uploads!!

If you like to know more about the pentagons and Marc Bijl, please search the internet, Wikipedia for instance!!

Regards
