i am relatively fast and efficient at making the meshes, and UV mapping them. i can delaunay triangulate them for best results in the cloth room. depending on the item i can also produce displacement/normal maps for seam detail.
what i dont have time to do is fiddle with it in the clothroom till i nail the right settings, or to texture everything and provide complete end-user packages.
the problem is that even if i provide a nice mesh with great UVs and displacement maps, its just going to be dead in the water unless people pick it up and run with it from there.
