ya, I think the engine is still ray dream, but most of the tools were designed after the Hex layout way back with Metacreations and eovia, as well as some stuff from infini-d... Carrara is truly the all out mutt of modellers  LOLOLOLOLOL

 

GOD I remember Ray Dream.. was unreal awesome back then.. now it looks like a toy compared to current software  :)
