I think what we have here is a simple miscommunication and misunderstanding of your freebies presentation.  

Basically, you want to show people your freebies, which is good, and we are all grateful for that.  

But perhaps some folk do not appreciate the storylines you include, which build up the presentation. 

Your presentation of your freebies in this manner does not bother me on a personal level; other people may express their opinions to the contrary;  likewise, websites are entitled to enforce their site rules if they feel such action is necessary.
