if you change the

prop WHATEVER

line in the pz2 to

actor $CURRENT

you'll be able to apply the poses to whatever prop is currently selected in your poser window.  make sure there's a figure somewhere in the scene or this won't work.  i do this all the time for jewelry, shoes, prop hair, etc.  remember when saving the new poses to label them L or R so you'll know to use them on the correct side.
