SaintFox,
Being a lurker only in the Antonia thread and the forum in general for ages now, you won't know me, but I know enough of you on here, and have been a beneficiary of your and Leo's generosity in this project to poke my nose in now.

I was thrilled to hear of Leo's rapid improvement and both of your spirited way of handling this setback. Even being a grouch shows gumption, hehe.

Aside from warm well-wishes I have just one thing to contribute from my experience with family members also having to be on blood-thinning medication.  If the doc puts him on Warfarin ask him if an  alternate blood thinner could be just as safely used such as aspirin based medication.  Warfarin is very powerful and almost automatically prescribed in emergency  heart/stroke  cases it seems.  But it's also a poison and often causes side effects and dietary difficulties as well as
complications in future medical procedures etc.  If it's possible to use alternate medication even if only later, then ask for it.

Having witnessed 2 relatives. one after a heart operation on Warfarin for years now and the other after a stroke on coated aspirin, it's a world of difference in the quality of their lives.

Of course only his doctor can advise whether the alternates would be suitable for Leo. All the best to him for a speedy recovery!

Hey while I'm here, thank you all for the remarkable contributions and generosity that makes Antonia as terrific as she is.  I'll eventually have the opportunity to actually use her latest version I hope.  Great communal effort!
