I dare to hijack the thread again with a small but important update about our situation (and thanks A LOT!!! to you LesBentley for calming me down yesterday - you where sooo right!).

Leo was allowed to leave the intensive care unit today and go to a normal room with three beds and two nice elder fellows who enjoy a good laugh and like to talk. When I visited him today he was as well allowed to have a walk with me - and with the help of the rollator he was able to walk with both legs. The doctor said that his muscles are very strong (although he is physically more the welterweight-type) and this way he is able to move the numb leg without feeling it. We walked around the whole hospital (with the help of some benches and the rollator) and later where allowed to watch handball (Germany vs. Iceland, 39:28) together with his roommates. Everything felt almost normal beside the fact that I was the only person in the room without a pajama.

Don't get me wrong, I am not overly enthusiastic or wear my rosered glasses. It is just a small but important ray of light for us and I wanted to share it with you.

I'm not always right, but my mistakes are more interesting!
