@fivecat: I actually thought the walk designer example looked much better with the renaming. In my opinion, moving the whole figure up and down in a walk cycle is a massive mistake. That's part of the reason why Antonia has a different actor hierarchy than other figures: being able to pose the hip without moving the whole figure about is a huge advantage.
Yes, this will break compatibility, and the point-and-click lemmings will whine. Let them! People have been complaining loudly about Antonia's 'big' nose and 'unattractive' figure from the beginning. You can't please everyone at the same time.
Also, if I understood Phil correctly, the issue with WW was that the actor named hip was not in the hip region.
